ABC CANADA Literacy Foundation is a national charity committed to promoting literacy to the general public and to the private sector. They are a partnership of business, labour, educators and government.
They focus on public awareness programs, the development and execution of national literacy awareness campaigns; provide promotional support to local literacy groups; and conduct research to further the development of a fully literate Canadian population.

Literacy BC is the lead provincial organization responsible for family literacy development and coordination in BC.
Literacy and Parenting Skills (LAPS)
Literacy and Parenting Skills (LAPS) is a family literacy program designed to provide literacy and parenting skills to at-risk parents. Created and developed at Bow Valley College, Calgary, Alberta, in partnership with the Further Education Society of Alberta, the LAPS program targets parents who have difficulties with reading and writing.
National Adult Literacy Database (NALD)

The National Adult Literacy Database Inc. (NALD) is a federally incorporated, non-profit service organization that provides a single-source, comprehensive, up-to-date and easily accessible database of adult literacy programs, resources, services and activities across Canada. It also links with other services and databases in North America and overseas. Discussion groups, upcoming literacy events, links to over 170 literacy related websites. A site where ideas, literacy resources and information can be shared and exchanged.
